Résumé : |
" The willingness to introduce environmental actions beyond compliance in a hotel is a voluntary top-down procedure; such a procedure usually begins with the adoption of an environmental policy explaining the strategy and fixing general objectives at the corporation level. This policy will then be adapted by each hotel according to its size and
location; in most cases, these policies are similar for all hotels that belong to a given hotel chain. Once a hotel has implemented changes to reduce its environmental impacts, it can be time to ask for external recognition of this hard and long work. Indeed, even if not mandatory, certification and label recognition is a pledge of trust for stakeholders and, if well marketed, generates positive effects for the hotel itself, the chain but also for the society." |
